Dr. Chanan was born and raised in Cleveland Heights. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Maine. Later, Dr Chanan returned to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her degree in 1980. She has been a part of the Bethel Animal Hospital family since 1998.
Her favorite part about being a vet is working with younger veterinarians in the clinic to further her education and continue to learn. She loves client education and communication.
Dr. Chanan’s world is her pets. She has a 7-year-old female blue Great Dane named Bri (pictured above), a 29-year-old quarter-horse gelding, and a quarter-horse teenage mare.
In her downtime, Dr. Chanan loves to relax by doing lawn work.
